Hello Ladies/Gents;

Anyone know for a fact that the nforce 4 boards will be for both the s939 *and* the s754 platforms?

I want to run an A64 cpu with a pci express video card, not necessarily SLI.

:confused:

Yes, there will be nForce4 for 754.

From the artical above, Drew Henry, general manager of platform business at Nvidia, clearly said that A02 revision NF4 (which has a problem with 1000MHz HT) is for 754-pin A64. So, I assume there will be for sure.

the vanilla nforce4 will be socket 939 and 754, but for most people in these forums, it will not be a very desirable solution. The core speeds are completely locked, meaning absolutely no overclocking whatsoever, which is a big bummer, plus most of the cool nforce4 features are not included. I anticipate that the K8T890, Radeon Xpress 200 and SIS 756 will dominate the socket 754 arena, unless of course they make the same boneheaded move and lock up the FSB clocks, as well.
