NF3 Ultra and 4x512MB of HyperX

I'm thinking about buying an NF3 Ultra M/B (rather than NF4) because I need AGP. I have 4 sticks of 512MB HyperX I can use. Will I NOT be able to run at DDR400 using that much memory with an A64 Venice? If so, is the effect on performance in gaming noticeable?

I'll probably end up getting the popular MSI or Gigabyte NF3 Ultra board unless others are suggested. Any other thoughts/comments are appreciated.

Thanks,
CxP

You should be able to run 4 sticks at DDR400 1T on a venice.

I'd suggest not getting a gigabyte NF3 board, I have heard they are very picky about ram. MSI has some quality control issues, but their boards appear to be vary nice when working. You also might want to consider the Asus AV8 (or A8V, I can never remember which). It uses the Via K8T800 chipset, so it wont' be as good as overclocking, but its still a nice board.

Theoretically as said above you shouldn't have any problems although strangely it seems to be entirely dependant on motherboard selection as different BIOSes from different companies have different quirks. Even if you're not able to run at DDR400 and have to run at DDR333 you'll never notice the difference in the real world.

Thanks for your feedback guys.

Any other thoughts with respect to what NF3 Ultra motherboard will be good to go with 2GB of PC3200 HyperX?

Thanks,
