Do you install the Nvidia IDE drivers if you have a m/b which uses the nf3-250/250Gb chipset??
I'm especially interested in the Soltek nf3-250Gb m/b but I'll appreciate any comments for this chipset.

nf2 had major issues with cpu utilisation, crashes under heavy IDE load last year and as far as I'm aware, this issue has been resolved with the WinXP SP1 patch(or Win2k equivalent) and by using MS default IDE drivers. Nvidia drivers helped bring down cpu utilisation at the expense of stability.

Do not install it. If you use the RAID the nVidia IDE driver will be installed when you install the RAID via floppy when you hit F6. Simply go into the Device Manager and delete it and reboot and the standard IDE drivers will install when you log into Windows.

wats wrong with them???...the only prob i've ever had is with a NF2 400ultra board, when those drivers conflicted with a Richo DVD Burner and B's Recorder Gold Burning Software (i think it was B's Recoder)

I'm using the Nvidia IDE drivers on my Chaintech VNF-250 mobo (WinXP Pro SP2) without any problems.
