If i put any ram into slots 2 or 3, i get errors in the 5th test at the 98th percentile mark of memtest. This occurs at any settings, even stock ones, but the board and ram runs clean and stable with a stick in the first slot. This happens with one or two sticks, havent tried three. I just want to get my two sticks of tccd working in dual channel at 250mhz (i can do 255 or so with cpc on with one stick) stably.
My setup...
Nforce 2 Ultra infinity, bios 11/24/04, vdroop mod
45w mobile 2600+ iqyha
coolmax 450w 14cm fan power supply
powercolor 9700pro
1*512mb geil pc4400 ultra, tccd on brainpower, 2.5-4-4-7
1*512mb corsair xms pc3200, tccd
40gb maxtor drive, pata
160gb western digital drive, pata, 8mb cashe
15k rpm 18gb seagate barracuda
adaptec ultra 160 scsi controller
unknown cdrw (was free)
unknown dvd-rom (was free)

fixed by using the 6/9 official bios from dfi's website. working nicely at 244 fsb, dual channel, cl2.5 with two sticks of tccd. memtest clean . i'll have to do vmods to the chipsets to get higher, but maybe 266 is doable with mods (266*10.5 with mods should stable, i love my mobile)

i never got errors in test 5 that didn't happen at the end, that just seems to be where it picks it up

cirth,

As a general rule, dual channel is only supported with MATCHED pairs of identical sticks.
Seeing that you are running your bus speeds way out of spec, I'm surprised you got this far.

After saying that... what voltage are you running the DIMMs at?

it wont work even at 200mhz, and both sticks are using tccd. i've given them between 2.6v to 3v, and the ram insnt the problem. when i use my two tccd sticks in the first slot (one at a time), both memtest just fine. with one stick of ram i can prime95 for an hour and a half at 260mhz, 1t (cpc on), and thats about the limit of the motherboard.

Coolmax PSU, huh? Do you have any other brands you could try, particularly brands that have earned decent reputations (Enermax, Fortron, etc)?

how can the psu be to blame when one stick in the first slot works, but that same stick in either of the other two slots doesnt work? also, the psu isnt bad and can hold up to a fair amount of load. its a very good psu for the price, as i paid only 43 bucks for it or something like that :)
