I got my Nexus S with a Canadian provider last month, paid half up front and half on my tab. No contract. This is my first smart phone and I am utterly impressed. Very nice phone.

It upgraded to ICS last night over Wifi. Wow it's beautiful.

I think it's on par with an Iphone. For those who own both, how do they compare?
 
I've got one and I think it was a tad bit smoother with Gingerbread, but I'm fine with that. I can deal with a bit of lag if I get ICS 🙂

It's pretty good with video play-back and browsing. Image heavy pages were a night-mare before but that seems to have been fixed with ICS. Not a bad phone otherwise.

IIRC the Nexus S was released to compete with the iPhone4 so it's pretty comparable in many regards. I think the camera on the iPhone is better, and the screen might be of higher resolution.
