Nexus refresh

Looking around, trying to determine the date for a 2013 refresh of 10 inch nexus. Think I'm gonna ditch my ipad. Yearly refresh is cheaper..

Not sure if Key Lime Pie will have a tablet launch platform. If it has, then you should see the new tablet much earlier.

I am sure that we will see an updated Nexus 7 or similar at Google I/O this year when they launch Key Lime Pie. Unless Google is going to stray from a yearly release cycle. . .

We'll probably see an updated Nexus 7 at Google I/O. A new 10" tablet probably won't come until fall/winter.

It's likely OEMs will surpass Nexus 10 before its successor debuts. I have a feeling that Samsung will announce Galaxy S4 and a couple of tablets using Exynos 5 Octa in a few weeks. Snapdragon 800 and Tegra 4 tablets should hit fairly soon as well (IMO), surpassing Nexus 10 in almost every aspect except the prices and "pure" Android experience.

Nexus 10 is currently the king of 10" Android tablet and as much as I wish it had a bit better design, I don't see it getting updated when there is no competition at the moment. (Though a product like Xperia tablet Z has other virtues than pure performance) Plus, Google don't seem to be fond of announcing products ahead of actual shipping dates, so I wouldn't bank on them making announcement of upcoming products.

I am debating whether to get a nexus 10 right now or wait for the new spring/summer tablets to get announced... Would like to have the whole nexus family though. that would be kinda cool.

What do people use tablets for if you own large screen smartphones? (Specifically this group)

For example, any Note II owners with Tablets? If so, what do you do any different with it?

It depends what sizes of phone and tablet you're talking about. A 7" tablet for example is way more usable then a 4.7" smartphone for browsing etc. I can't see many wanting one in addition to a Note sized phone though. Seems pretty pointless.

Note II is still much smaller than something like the Nexus 7, which for me is the minimum size to comfortably web browse on. Also movies and whatnot on a tablet are a big difference even compared to the Note II's screen size.
