My Nexus One is stock (yeah, I know) and I just manually updated it to Gingerbread when the "OTA" zip became available yesterday. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965287 if you need more info.

Someone over there reposted this tweet from an Android developer. Apparently, Gingerbread is able to store more of an app's data on the SD card than Froyo could.

I moved all of my eligible apps from SD->phone->SD and some of them definitely dropped in their usage of the internal storage. Angry Birds, for example, went from around 2MB to 316KB. It doesn't work for all (or even most) apps, but internal storage is at a premium on the N1 so I was happy to be able to save a chunk of it. Just a heads up. :)
