My Nexus got upgraded to iOS 5 lollipop.
Which now I hated; It makes batter life short. Few Apps not working.
I hated the interface. I have to relearn the navigation around the phone.
I need to help to Down graded to 4.4 KitKat
Can any body help with hat.
I need to backup SMS, Phonebooks, Video and Pics. Then downgrade to KitKat.
I want free apps to backup my phone.
I really do not care to root it; unless I need to.
Phone is Nexus 4 16Gig.
Thanks in advance

That iOS 5... you should upgrade it to the iOS 8.

You can backup photos and all using your google account. It won't backup SMS though.
The interface is mostly the same? They just changed the style/colors. Yeah some things are different (lockscreen, quick panel, volume), but it isn't that much different.

If the apps aren't working backup your stuff and do a factory reset.

iOS 8 not sure what that is.
I was fine with KitKat 4.4.4
With iOS 5 some time I can't answer the phone. I would be sliding it and it wont turn on the call.
I hate ! point at cell signal strength.
Often disconnect from my WiFi.
Often it get stucks and rebooted.
My TomTom won't work with iOS 5 due to some environment not available in iOS 5.

Thankfully my Nexus 4 is running smoothly with Lollipop. Battery life is the same terrible as it was before so nothing different.
What do you have to relearn?

iOS 5 Lollipop :) You will need to upgrade to iAndroid 8.1.1

Not sure if it's just the English, but I suggest you find a friend to help you downgrade back to Kitkat. Factory images are available from Google and require you to boot into the bootloader in order to install it fresh.

Yes, you'll want to backup your stuff. I recommend Helium, but it requires you to install the Android ADB USB drivers on your computer and use the Helium Windows program. Doing both enables Helium to run with debug/root-ish type permissions without running your entire phone at root, which is dangerous to the average person. The advantage of that is you can use it to do a full backup with nearly any phone/tablet that isn't rooted or rootable. With Windows 8, I was only successful at using the USB drivers if I disable the signature check of drivers on bootup. If you are lost as to what any of those mean, do please have a buddy teach you.

Your Nexus phone allows you to do all these wonderful features out of the box and it'd be best if you learn how to use it... if you want to learn how to really, really use your phone. Best of luck.

Just do a factory reset of your N4 and give Lollipop another go.

Most of these issues are happening in the upgrade. Factory Resets resolves many of these issues and I recommend doing it anyways anytime a version # changes.
