so if the person you're calling isn't there to pick up for a regular phone call, why would they be there to pick up for the walkie talkie call?

but thats not what the commercials are advertising. the people in the commercials can't get through when making a normal phone call, but get right through and the other person picks up when making a walkie talkie call. its ridiculous.

Okay, I've never seen your ads. But up here in Toronto and area we have the same by clearnet called MiKe phones.

The bank were I work uses them for our area.

Sorry, that should be Telus, not clearnet, damn old phones.
