After toying with a Focus I can easily say wp7 is my fav phone os, it is sooo damn smooth. This phone looks to be killer, and I suppose 4.7" Android phones are on the way as well

As the world runs short on snarky phone titles (and in fact, starts using a couple of the gems on more than one occasion), we're left to overlook the moniker here while focusing on what's important: that display. In fact, the 4.7-inch WVGA Super LCD shown here actually does seem to extend on for Eternity, and if HTC Inside's leak pans out, we could be looking at the world's next WP7 superphone. It's bruited that this fellow will be shipping with a single-core 1.5GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera (autofocus, dual LED flash), a 720p movie mode, front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera, 16GB of storage, DLNA support, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and a 1,650mAh battery. That's a pretty startling list of features, and savvy Windows Phone followers will recognize that the Mango update will indeed be necessary before that front-facing shooter becomes useful. Needless to say, we'll be keeping an ear to the ground for more, as essentials like price and release have thus far eluded us.

4.7".......thats too big for a phone. 4.3 is just the right size. I would feel like a tard talking on a 4.7" phone in the street. Looks almost as dumb as using a 10.1" tab in public as a camera.

Solid specs for WP7, but man, that phone is way too big in my opinion.

I dunno 4.7 really if the bezels are small enough wouldn't be that much bigger than the EVO.

I like it. But I am in a bit of a conundrum.
Only Verizon has true unlimited data and thats gonna die on July 7. There will be no new WP7 devices on Verizon by that time and they currently have 1 single freakin phone with mid-range hardware.
The current crop of WP7 devices are decent but not stellar, I dont wanna be stuck with them for two whole years. But if I dont take a two year contract I cant lock into the unlimited data for a fixed price for more than a month. But their one Windows phone is junk and wont last me for two years.
Nokias WP7 toy is a long way off. I am indifferent to everything else.

WTF do I do? Take a used HD7 from Amazon to Tmobile? The money I save on a used device is only like half a months service of unlimited data there.

And I do like a 4.7" screen. I wanted to go with a Dell Streak 5 but the hardware was mediocre and the OS was gimped.

Hmm...buy something cheap on Verizon with a two year contract, then buy a next-gen Verizon WP7 off contract? Yea, you'll be paying a lot for the phone that way, but you'll probably still save money vs their new data plans....

Also there is no promise of any 4g Windows phone in the near future, so theres that.

I could get their WP7 phone from Amazon for a penny, but then the good WP7 phone I buy to replace it will cost me 500-700 dollars probably.

Fack! This is nuts.

Way too big physically. They need to work on stretching the screen closer to the edges of the physical phone rather than just increasing the overall size. My Galaxy SII is as big a phone as I ever want to own. If you can get more screen in the same body, awesome. Otherwise, no thanks.

Windows Mobile does look nice though.... very impressed with it. If I could find an excuse to have another phone, I'd pick one up to play with.

I'd have to handle this phone before I can decide if it's too big. Going from a Palm Pre to an EVO 4G, I thought the EVO was a monstrosity. Now though, it doesn't seem big at all. How big of a jump could it be, going from 4.3" to 4.7"?

I would think most new phones would have a dual core processor, wonder why they didn't go with one.

It is not a part of the Windows Phone 7 spec yet. Maybe next year. However, if you've used WP7, it really doesn't need it, the software is very well optimized and even runs well on 1st gen snapdragon.

Because its not actually necessary for mobile devices and a huge waste of money.
Also WP7 runs well enough that this one OS in particular has no use for dualcore which is why its not even supported yet.

If they can make it roughly the size of an Evo, more power to them. That's about as big as I'd want to go for a smartphone. I love my 4.3" screen and won't even consider anything smaller, but OTOH I don't want a bigger handset either.

I'd imagine that, in most cases, smartphones would be better served by a faster single core vs a slower dual core. Anyway, WP7 runs smooth as silk on the old 1st Gen 1GHz Snapdragon. Can't wait to see how it runs on the newer 1.5GHz version with 3x faster GPU.

Shorty you should be fine if you already have unlimited data. Just wait and get a new phone later on....I am waiting until my upgrade in December to go Mango.
