Ok this is a true story. Last year when I refinanced my mortgage my lending company contacted me with some odd/somewhat disturbing news. Evidently, my full name (first middle and last) is associated with a known Columbian drug lord. This is according to a little footnote thingy that was placed on my credit reports. I never ever heard of such a thing, and at the time, we were all just laughing about it.

Well, should I worry now that I plan on traveling across the US? I never travel, I guess I just don't know what to expect with the way airport security is these days.

It isn't such a big deal...right?

if it is in your credit report, it is in your FBI file. get ready to spend your whole weekend at the airport's interrogation room. ;)

Okay, I *MUST* know, what's your full name? And druglords are not hijackers, so they won't be terribly concerned anyway. Now if you were LEAVING the country, that would be another matter.
