This will require a massive amount of cracking work....
But they'll do it, I bet.
Just stick the old pieces of core from W2k where needed, or something like that.
Otherwise, W2k isn't bad, and Linux with the 2.4 core is perfect (almost...)
 
If it happens as planned.......it will register your proc. code # and go by that. As for upgrades, you will have to call MS and inform them of the upgrade and they will issue a new code for your copy of Win '01. Don't be to concerned though........it will be cracked before it hits the market.....assuming it gets that far which is still highly suspect!
