For example; This is what I have put up with:

- The below prices are in Per Litre and can be found: Here

- UK Sterling to US Dollors at 1.78 from: Here

Jan '05 = £0.796 / $1.14
Feb '05 = £0.805 / $1.44
Mar '05 = £0.82 / $1.46
Apr '05 = £0.86 / $1.53
May '05 = £0.856 / $1.53
June '05 = £0.856 / $1.53
July '05 = £0.887 / $1.58

1 gallon [US] = 3.7854118 litre [UK], to sum up I pay $5.98 per Gallon

oh, Look where it all goes!!!

Yes you guys pay a lot more for gas. You also need to remember that in the US everything is spread out so we have much longer driving distances and our public transportation is pretty much non existant.

So of your $6/gal, $4.50 goes back to public projects. Of our $3/gal, $0.45 goes back to public projects.

...atleast you get lube.

Geeze dude - i don't care what you're paying. Move to a country as large as the US, where one has to actually travel long distances, and it's impossible for public transportation to exist anywhere except for Metros, then tell me I can't complain.

Gas is expensive for you, but you have other options - the majority of America doens't. STFU.

People in the UK pay huge gas prices but get free healthcare, it all works out about the same in the end.

All I care about is that I got gas for $2.62 this morning. A full FIVE CENTS cheaper than the station NEXT DOOR (the other one was adjacent to the highway, this one was next to it, and this one is easier to get in and out of because of the way the ramps are situated)

Driving to work today I passed a station with gas for 2.55, then just up the road another station with gas for 2.69 (both Regular). Needless to day, I was happy i filled up for 2.52 on Saturday.

Yes, but over there you get in your car and drive for a few hours in almost any direction and you are in another country that doesn't even speak your language.

Actually, the UK gov't is about as efficient as ours (roughly 20%). So, they may get lube, but it's still gritty.

No one told you to live in the UK. Plus, we complain about gas prices, not petrol prices.
