Next Launcher 3D ($15.99 regularly) for free 6/7/13

Yeah I thought this was that SPB launcher upon first glance. I would like to try that but $15 is steep.

So I like my launchers simple and light, this just felt like a bloated mess with too much going on. Also the theme was really giving off an 80s vision of the future vibe.
 
I picked this up at 5.99 acoupla weeks ago. I am really digging it on my S4. The icon stuff is pretty cool. The "3d" stuff looks and runs great. Needs more free themes tho. 15 bucks, hell now, 5-6 bucks, yes, worth it. Free even better.
 
Downloading it now to give it a try. I suspect I may not be the target audience for a launcher like this though, since I like my launchers to be simple and out of the way.
 
Tried it, then realized it was from Go. Jaded to their stuff since most of it ends up as bloatware that bogs down your phone.

It's okay- messed with it for a bit, but it's just excessive transitions. The exact opposite end of the instantaneous scale from Nova at 'faster than light' with no animations.

I'm sure it's cool for some people, but I can't for the life of me imagining anyone paying $16 for it.
 
It's interesting, but so damn busy. Not sure I could get used to it. I'd have to mess with it for awhile.
 
This thing reminds me of Compiz.

I hate the style- it looks like a Command & Conquer game. It has some sort of terrible looking border for apps I can't find a way to disable. It can't be my daily driver.

But some of the 3D actions are nuts! Its like Tony Starks phone.

I could see me using this like I used Compiz back in the 00's- bust it out just to make people using other platforms superficially jealous.
 
It made me try next browser... I have to say I really do like it. I think it might become my new browser.

Hah, I remember Compiz! The animations are really nice, but for day-to-day use it really does seem like too much. The launcher itself took about 30 seconds to load (on an SGS3). I would be afraid that if the launcher was ever kicked out of memory, you're going to be sitting for a while waiting for it to page back in...
