THe k7s5a/XP 2400+ for $89 has been around for quite some time now.

what do u think will be the next great bang for the buck combo will be? and when? And why do u think that?
 
fry's has replaced the k7s5a pro with a k3vta3.

the k3vta3 is 333fsb and can do all 333fsb chips (xp3000+). the xp3200+ is 400mhz bus. and has 3 ddr memory slots. no pc133 slots.

so hoprefully we will see deals with chips higher than xp2400+ soon. (the xp2500+ is a great o/c)
 
well, voltage plays a roll.

xp1800+ have a lower voltage than xp2000+. that's why they are better o/c. so it shouldnt matter the stepping. all xp1800+ should o/c better than a xp2000/2200/2400, on avg.
