Next generation W8 Tablets (not RT)... when will they be available??

Anyone know when the newer tablets running full Windows 8 will be released and if they will really be substantially superior to the current clover trail Z2760.

Not looking for one of the I5 Surfaces, just wondering about the replacements for tabs that are running clover trail. I have heard of clover trail+ and Temash but haven't followed this sector at all.

Didn't Clover Trail+ debut last week? I don't remember the details but from my vague memory almost everything got doubled or something. Of course, that's just the SOC and yeah I guess the actual devices will probably likely show up later this year. Maybe do a search on Clover Trail+ previews.

Thanks, I think you're correct on clover trail+ - I have found a few articles and it looks like a nice bump especially the graphic, if I understood correctly. Still haven't found anything yet on when they will be available in a tablet though.

AMD's Hondo tablets should start showing up fairly soon, Vizio has announced a nice looking one. It isn't an improvement on the cpu front compared to Clover Trail but the Radeon HD 6250 blows away the PowerVR crap used in the Atom tablets.

Although I work for Intel, and lately I work on Atom products too, I actually don't know the answer to this question. But when Intel disclosed the details on Clovertrail+ at the MWC last week, they said the Lenovo K900 smartphone would ship next month:

Little else has been unveiled about the K900 so far, but it'll be available in China from April.

If it will be powering a phone next month, you'd think tablets wouldn't be too far off.

And you might read what I wrote and think that I'm hinting that it will be sooner... but I really don't know. Just that it seems unlikely that we'd have to wait that long...

That Vizio looks kind of interesting, from what I have seen though, the prototype didn't seem to have a mini SD slot and only had micro USB and HDMI.

I found a good price on a HP envy X2 - might just go that route.

Thanks for this info - I'll do some more looking before I make a purchase - hate that buyers remorse.

Edit; - used to live North of Ft Collins in my younger days - had some memorable times there.
