We are now focused on the development of a new model to succeed the NSX for a new era. We would like to debut a new super sports car equipped with a V10 engine in 3 to 4 years. Please look forward to seeing the NSX successor.

It will probably be based on the outgoing F1 V10 which is a 3Liter... so mebbe bigger motor for reliability (~4L sounds good).

And they'll again rev the snot out of it and make no torque and have it transversely mounted since Honda always thinks their way is best. But 3-4 years?? I'm afraid what the used market for the current NSX will be like in a year from now... suck, I wanted one as a summer daily.

Yeah, give it a displacement boost and kick down the rev limiter (So the engine lasts more than a day at the race track) Keep it light and you have a poor man's Enzo.

I was thinking the same thing. Are they allergic to V8s or something? I would think it would make a whole lot more sense for them to develop an S/Cd, turboed, or stout NA V8 for the next-gen NSX, and then de-tune it and use it in a future pickup or something. I mean let's face it - the Ridgeline doesn't really compete in the US truck market, largely because of the weak V6.
 
that's right bishes...i hope they also drop the IMA motor in there. and SH-RWD, magnetic clutches to power rear left-right wheels!

f1 V10, i was hoping the mugen V8, but honda's thinking big! w00t!!

Transversely mounted = not an Enzo... or any Italian supercar for that matter. It would just look weird cramming a V10 sideways, but I bet Honda does it and adds SH AWD to it because the nextgen Nissan Skyline GT-R has the same formula.

So once again, Honda makes promises on innovating yet lets others in the market innovate first as with all their stuff.

Serious, ASSuming stuff that's 3 years from delivery. The engine orientation might not have even been decided yet.

Some of you honda haters go to crazy lengths to badmouth honda. Molested by a honda as a kid or something.
