so i should assume that non of the 3d companies have announced any pci support at all in up comming products... but for now whcih card the v5 or an mx pci.. keep in mind the mx is cheaper by 1/3 and will continue to be supported and the v5 is expensive still and may not be supported in the future.... so mx or v5??

PLEASE go with mx, not a 3dfx product. You're commiting suicide if you go that route (They're dead!)

I seriously doubt that any of the next generation video cards will be PCI. 3dfx's V5 5500 is currently the best PCI video card available and it will likely stay that way for good. The problem is that with no future support it's hard to justify purchasing it.

It's a coin flip between ATi and nVidia.
