From purely a hypothetical standpoint at this time, my next upgrade will be in the $400 range. I've been wanting a nice LCD monitor for quite awhile now. But then I thought, for $400 I can buy a rockin' video cards like a 6800GT or an X800XT.

I like to play the newer games like Doom 3 and HL2 so a new vid card can help, but I also am enticed by a sexy new LCD monitor. I want a 19-inch LCD with DVI (the response can be 25ms, since it seems that this figure can be grossly missrepresented...see Tom's Hardware).

My current monitor is an ugly white 18" viewable CRT (all my accessories are black too :().

My current vid card is a 9800Pro.

So what do you guys think?? New LCD or new vid card?

With a $150 Amex coupon (~$50 on ebay) a 25% Dellf coupon and a stackable $$ coupon, you should be able to get the 2001FP for around $450.
