Have not used those but Nexen makes some of the worse tires I have seen. They also have little to no customer service. I will never buy them again.

Just my experience.

Well, I talked it over with my mechanic (who also sells tires) and he told me that a bunch of his customers have been happy with Nitto NT90Ws, so I ended up going with them. They'll be installed Monday. :)

For an extra $14.92/tire: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...55SR7WF2&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

You missed the $100 off $400 Discount Tire Direct eBay promo by one or two days. :(

Discount has many options at ~$100/tire after rebate: https://www.discounttiredirect.com/fitmentresult/tires/size/215-55-17?q=:price-asc:tireCategory:winterTires&page=0

I was under the impression that Firestone tires are the "not good enough to be Bridgestone" tires that Firestone makes. Is that accurate or is The Internet™ as confused about tires as it is about everything else?

You'd think there would be somebody - anybody; Car & Driver, Road & Track, something - doing actual objective tire reviews every 3-6 months with a set test vehicle. But the best you can find is the occasional comparison of two or three different tires, or a comparison of one winter tire vs. one all-season, or Uncle Jim's Youtube Rant about Goddamn Made In China Took Our Jobs Tires Real Trucks Have Manual Transmissions.

They are two separate companies. Firestone is an American company, Bridgestone is Japanese
edit: welp i'm wrong. they are the same company, lol.

Not sure which one is "better" per-se and probably varies on individual tire models. Never used firestones ever before but i've had some bridgestones that were excellent, and some that were garbage.
