We trade with China but not Cuba...how Ass-backwards is that?
China did not take US money to support revolution against a corrupt government then immediately join sides with our enemy. Castro did that.
Congress wouldn't be stupid enough to let him do it... would they? :|
This is indirectly yet another great argument for abolishing the electoral college. If Florida were not an electorally important swing state, US policy towards Cuba would have taken a turn for the sane a long time ago.
As it is, every candidate has to go down there and pledge limitless revenge on Castro every 4 years. Sigh.
This whole primary schedule gives far too much weight to some bad states.

China fought directly against the U.S. in the Korean War.
Hell yea they did, and it was a brutal display about just how cheap life is to some governments. When we (the US) approached the Korean-China border with tanks (and I think some troops), China sent 300,000 soldiers across to repel the "invasion". IIRC, the tanks were eventually overwhelmed by the sheer number of Chinese foot soldiers, who popped hatches open, your mind can fill in the rest.
How could they not make hatches that couldn't be opened from the outside?

Correct. But China did not take US money to support revolution against a corrupt government then immediately join sides with our enemy. Castro did that. China was already communist when they fought us.
