Might be off topic like my Mick Fleetwood experience but it happened.

We were teeing off on the 10th and some fat dude in a blue shirt was standing on the hill waiting for us to go so he could hit his ball which was just in front of our tee box. Turned out to be Newt! How cool is that? Just to make sure, we asked the beer cart girl who met us at the end of the hole and she confirmed it. Said his wife was real nice...

So anyway... My second brush with fame since I got here...

There might be another thread about a friend of mine who wants to ask Chelsea a question tomorrow: "What is your mom's stance on freeing the whales?"

I'll explain if he actually asks her.

I'm glad I didn't run into Newt while we were in Maui...I'd probably have been charged with vehicular homicide...

But it WAS a hoot "having lunch" with Mick Fleetwood at Mala's. (he was at the table next to us with his grandson)

Good thing you didn't happen to bump into (lick my) Dick Cheney while you were hunting; you could have gotten shot in the face and then been forced (by guns off camera) to apologize for not ducking!
