I watched a segment with Newt's half sister Candice and she confirmed the correct pronounciation of Newt's last name is Ging"rick"

As much as the right made a big deal about the President's middle name and Mitt Romney will not use his real name (Willard), any idea why Newt would go with an completely different pronounciation of his family's last name?

Knowing Newt's hyper inflated opinion of his own self worth I suspect there is some deep seated psycological reason behind this.

Rick isn't Perry's first name either.
