Since they are working early morning and using their own vehicles.

Most newspapers pay by the route and not by the hour. I hated that job waking up EVERY DAMN MORNING 7 days a week at 3AM.

Let's say a 60 house route earns $45. It could take you 2.5 or 3.75 hours, just depends on how fast you are.

yeah, I would think it's based on how many houses you deliver to.
