If the income distribution of today were the same as 1980, median families would be earning a lot more, and the wealthy a lot less. They'd still be rich by middle class standards, if not by their own bloated sense of entitlement.

This whole thing started because you claimed this would put $26M/yr into your local economy. Given the median income, it sounds like this will put closer to $10M/yr into your local economy. Still a fair chunk of change, but it doesn't change the fact that you're an ignorant liar.

As for the whole "Republicans cave in" comment, we all know politics. The Democrats have determined that they have the upper-hand when this topic hits the media headlines. Democrats wand this to be the headlines as often as possible, while Republicans do not want this to be the headlines.

That's why the Republicans want a 1yr extension, while the Dems only a 2 month extension.
