NEWS: So Elton John thinks the general American Public is racist?

Elton John basically states that the people voting for American Idol are racist. He says this b/c 3 black contestants were ranked in the bottom, but he thought they did a good job. The voting for American Idol usually consists of 19 million average joe Americans. I'm sure many of the voters are young suburbia girls and aren't thinking racist thoughts... could it be the music taste of the average American just isn't the same as Elton John? OMG, a difference of opinion, racism! Granted they were singing his songs that night and he would be the better judge of who does his songs better; to call the voting racist seems a little much? Anyone else find this odd?

Also, does anyone remember Ruben Studdard. He is black and won the whole thing just last year. In 12 months time the voting has gone from affirmative action to racist! Wow!
 
Good point, Mallow. It's always the methodology of the left to scream racism at every opportunity. What they have failed to realize is that in doing so, they aren't taken seriously when racism is truly a factor. Are you listening, Reverend Al?
 
Meh. If they voted off 3 white girls and left on the 3 black girls I would call foul play in them attempting to be super PC.

It's not who is on the show, it's who was voted first and second as well as last.

1st & 2nd = White Girls

4th, 5th and 6th = Black Girls

It seems to me that all you lefties have suceeded.....whenever a white person triumphs over a black person people automatically assume and accuse racism is afoot. You guys have won, the world is quickly going down the toilet.
 
This is American Idol. If the general populous wants someone to win, they will vote for them. I don't know why any of that had to be said by him.

i don't think the americans are racist, i think they are stupid and have bad taste. anyone that sees Latoya as being in the bottom three of that group has NO idea what good music is.

Why is so hard to see they split the vote?
3 black girls sing virually the same, split the vote 3 ways amongst them?
The others bring something different to the plate.
Look at last year, the top 3 two black one white, and the black ones were different genders.
To say its not a popularity contest and to vote on talent is BS
How many times has Cowell said , you can sing great but you don't have 'insert here' to make it as a Pop star.

Elton is a fvcking idiot. These girls got kicked off. Maybe people hated them, or maybe people assumed the girls would win and voted for the underdog out of pitty. Why are people making such a mountain out of this? The show is cranking out cookie-cutter stars. I watch it with mrs on occasion, but it's a freaking star search, not a presidential race.

Oh yeah and elton can eat my ass out, since Ruben - a BLACK MAN - won the last time.
