I'm so sick of news organizations making stories on "we have nothing to report." The latest examples are the Arafat story:
"He may or may not be poor health right now. We're getting conflicting reports."
*sigh*
or the Bin Laden tape:
"It is unclear what effect the tape will have on people."
*sigh2*
How about reporting something that IS news? If you're going to report like that, you could say anything!
"Elephants might or might not be trampling pedestrians on city streets."
"Carrots may or may not kill you."
"It is unclear if chewing gum causes cancer."
