Power went out for about 3 minutes this morning, and now my 2nd hard drive (media) is not showing at all. Not even in BIOS. I've tried unplugging and then plugging the SATA cable back in, and everything I can think of. Any other ideas?

I know this is probably simply fixed, but I can't think of anything else to do :(

have you tried plugging the drive into another computer? Maybe the drive itself is fine and your mobo isn't.

It must be the mobo. I slaved it to another PC, and it's fine. I swear, this GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L is more trouble than it's worth. Every other day or so, when I first turn it on in the morning, I have no video to my monitor (EVGA 8800GT) I have to power off by the front switch, and then just unplug the cable to the monitor, and then plug it back in. It's fine after that.

Well, I guess it's not Edisons fault after all.

Thank you for the link. I also need to get a UPS(?) Edison in my area of So. Cal. can't seem to figure out how to keep the power ON every time it rains or the wind blows :( And if it doesn't go completely out, we get a lot of surges.

Looks like a rather easy and inexpensive way to protect my electronics. Thank you Blain. By the way, I like the link in your sig. Something I never knew happened till a few months ago, and forgot to tell you then.
