he keeps speaking about his military experiences... and ya just can't help but think about Bush and how he did in the military...

Or Clinton...

Actually, Clinton called himself out when he gave his speech a few days ago on Vietnam.

yeah...I thought that was good of him actually.

Kerry didn't call out Bush directly did he?

Altho I must say, if Kerry is the kind of person that risked his life to save someone else in the war, then he seems someone fit to lead a country. I don't know if its true that he did risk his life to save his fellow soldier..but if he did...I applaud him.

I liked the issues he discussed but he didnt mention any plan on how to apply those changes.

He received a Silver Star, Bronze Star with Combat V, and three awards of the Purple Heart for his service in combat and risking his life to save other Americans in Vietnam.

Right wing "news" site doesn't like Kerry? I am shocked.

So you're saying its all fabricated...

His first wound.

And of course a "right wing" website would actually have such an article, since the leftist ones wouldn't want to taint the wonderful image of John Kerry.

Seattle Times.

Oook.

But are you not open to the possibility that (well..we all know that Purple hearts are given out far too often) his service wasn't as glorious as he and others make it out to be?

This is getting pathetic. First you post rightwing websites. Now you are posting bulletin board posts?
You can question the severity of Kerry's wounds all you want, but he didn't issue himself a purple heart. The US government did.

My bad for posting anything for that matter. I didn't say it was credible, just thought it was amusing.

Yes, the US govt did, but what you and other need to realize, is that purple hearts are nothing special.

Fine, then go find the first purple heart winner you can find and tell him to his face that his service wasn't as glorious as they make it out to be, and that purple hearts were given out too often. Make sure you get dental insurance first.

If it's nothing special, how many do you have? Do you think it's appropriate to bring down all purple heart winners to bring up George aWol Bush?

Wow. You equate me saying that purple hearts were given out too often, to everyones service not being glorious? are you smoking crack? Fact is, true soldiers didn't even care about purple hearts, they weren't badges of honor. They used to be frowned upon. Some medics would be wounded 20 times before they even got a purple heart, and when they did, it was for less of an injury than the previous ones.

His TOD was only, what, 4 months? He didn't care to be there, he wanted out.

You are already assuming I support Bush. You lose.

I dislike BOTH candidates, and I really hate to vote for either of them.

There you go again, like I give a sh!t. I don't care if you attack bush, because I don't like him either. They both suck hard.

Tell me if this source is also right wing.

Edit: And purple hearts given out when they are actually necessary, I fully support. A small piece of shrapnel in your arm? I don't know about that..

Edit2: And I am sorry, but this thread will probably be locked. Its all my fault.

So, that newspaper says he wanted a deferment, but when he couldn't get it he enlisted in the Navy. He didn't go to the national guard, or go AWOL.
I am happy that he wasn't more seriously injured. I guess, with 3 purple hearts he should have been missing 3 limbs? Well, wasn't max Cleland missing more than that, and that didn't stop GOP from painting him as unpatriotic.
But that's irrelevant. The US government gave him those medals, so he doesn't have to apologize to anyone for having 3 purple hearts.

Funny how Kerry told everyone that military experience didn't matter when Clinton was running against Bush I. Guess we'll just mark that down as flip-flop 19481084.

because...you know how we were at war with ugh...ugh.....ugh.. what? just what were we in war with back then??

now we have bush calling himself a war president. of of course such distinctions don't matter to you:p

i liked the matrix 1. 2-3 dissapointed me. to u i'm flip flopping on liking the matrix:p

here's a clip from time magazine about his medals . http://fox302.com/userdata/oroo/files/stuff/KerryMedals.jpg not some silly right wing rag with a few malcontents. kerrys band of brothers stick up for him all the time while bush has not a single one. and its just pathetic that the right wing attacks his record when they simply have none themselves. oh, u didn't risk your life enough while i hid in the national guard by getting my daddy to jump me in line so another man would be sent in my place!! oh, u didn't get a big enough shrapenal wound while i got 5 deferements!! (cheney) all this while kerry served in flimsy aluminum swiftboats that suffered some of the highest casualty rates in vietnam. i'd have more respect for these conservatives if they'd just turn around and judge their own candidates actions by the same standards. ever wonder if they just get disgusted with themselves.

actions not words? or well words not actions as with the conservatives these days:p

:p

the chickenhawk headquarters

and the rest of the right wing propaganda goons don't look much better.
