Built the pc according to directions, will not boot up to BIOS.
Case fans turn on, CPU fan turns on, vid card fan turns on, front lights up, but no signal to the monitor.

Currently only the RAM, vid card, mb and proc are coneccted.

Have reset CMOS....nothing happened

This is my first time building a pc and I'm so disappointed!!!!!! 🙁 I've added many components to computers, but never built one from parts.

How can I know what the problem is? How can I tell if parts got fried from static? I used an anti-static wristband the whole time.

Any and all help/suggestions are appreciated 🙂

Does that vid card require a separate connection to the power supply? If it does, make sure that it's plugged in.

(My 6800 ultra requires 2) :|

EDIT: Also, your computer should "beep" upon a successful POST. Do you hear a beep when you turn it on after a few seconds?

Are there any CMOS beeps when you power it on?

Also, you're using a p4 board.. make sure you plugged both power connectors from the power supply to the motherboard. I know that happened to me once. Exact same problem. There should be one longer cable that connects by the IDE cables and another smaller 4 prong(I think it's 4) cable that connect somewhere near the CPU.

Hope that helps.

I got the power connectors ok. 🙂
Vid card doesn't require any other connectors as far as I know...I'll go look again

NO beeps at any time.

Keep the ideas coming! 🙂

Sorry I have no clue what else it could be. If there are no bios beeps, and you get no video, and you say you have all the power connectors in, then the only other possibility really is that you have a bad power supply. If it was a bad video card i'm pretty sure you'd be getting some bios beeps. Same with bad RAM.

Sorry dude.

I'll have to take the psu out of this comp to try it out... oh noes! 🙂

I just got off the phone with Foxconn tech support....he thinks it's either the psu or the mb is bad 🙁

thanks for your help!

Anyone have any other ideas?
