newer app than mbm?

from everything i have read so far, the old faithful mbm that has been with me and my kt4v for so many years does not have a version for my new gigabyte ga-m57sli 🙁

so... the hunt begins for a new app, something that basically does the same thing and has a similiar gui. basically looking for something to be able to see ambient, chipset, cpu and possibly hdd temps, something that can run in the background (much like how rivatuner does for my 7600gt) so when i close an app i can check the recent temp history.

the built in safety of mbm was also very nice.

anyone have any suggestions? in my searching i came across the app "core temp" which looks like it will work nicely for my new athlon64 but nothing about ambient or chipset temps as far as i could determine.

thanks in advance 🙂

The author of MBM has updated it a bit recently. But why not use the one that came with your mobo.

probably because those programs that the motherboard manufacturers put are are usually bloated glitzy pieces of crap that have more style than function.

Shucks, Ralf beat me to it... 🙁 But I upped my post count anyway! 😛

But that site you linked, Navid, is a fanboy site that hasn't been updated itself since Sept 2004... That's what you get for messing with fan boy sites.
