NewEgg

Had anyone have any problems ordering parts from newegg?

I have ordered some couple of days ago and it says that my credit card is still validating???

I had no problem ordering anything from any other store.

I noticed there were some newegg employees around the forum here, so if some of them could help me clarify this, I would be grateful

There are a couple of things that will slow down, or even stop, the processing of your order. 1) Is your credit card billing address the same as the delivery address? If not, have you already told your credit card company to approve that address? 2) Do you live in the United States? Both of those will keep them from shipping. Also, if it's your first order from them, sometimes it takes them an extra day, before they ship.

I had an issue w/ them the first time I ever used them. I don't remember the exact reason, but they actually called a few hours later and it was all cleared up. Since then, I've had smooth sailing with them.

Wish I could order from them. Live on Maui and shipping is ranked higher than space. Maybe, I can get lucky like you folks. Happy buying! 🙂

My very first order with them took at least 1 hour to validate my shipping hour, lol, i keep checking my status online, shipping was just as fast too. Best customer service anyone? 😀

NewEgg is by far the best online retailer I have ever dealt with. One time I ordered some fans from them that I tried out and didn't like. I put the fans back in the FedEx box, wrote "return to sender" on it and gave it back to FedEx. My credit card was refunded by the end of the week, no questions asked.

Newegg is probably the best choice of all E-tailors...I have boought about $5000 worth of parts from them over the years and never had any regrets.

I'm not speaking for NE but I've had it hang after the first purchase on a new CC. All additional purchases on that card usually clear within an hour or two. I've spent thousands with them over the years and never had a problem with an order or with a resonable refund request.

Sounds like you need to contact them and/or your CC company.

Yet another good thing about Newegg is that they do validate your card to prevent fraud. It can be a pain on your first order but is a very good thing if it wasn't you using the CC number.

Same here. I've spent a couple thousand and I never had 1 issue, except for my first purchase when I filled out the fields incorrectly. I called customer service, no wait time, spoke to a nice lady and she walked me through it without laughing. Bought there ever since.

Oh yeah, like Dave said, I did have to call the credit card company. That was more of a pain than anything else.

Only issue I had was when I accidentally forgot to set the right expiration date (oops). Other than that no problems.

You can rest assured that NewEgg goes out of their way to protect you and themselves from fraud. I've never had a probelm over the years and now that Visa and Mastercard online validate my cards - my NE orders zip with absolutely no delay concerning credit cards (or Bill Me Later, which I have used for a couple of years when making hotel reservations). Orderd two sticks of RAM on the 28th received them today after shipping from California to Virginia.

I used Newegg for the first time about a week ago. Ordered Sunday night and received my case and most of the other components Tuesday morning. The heatsink and keyboard came 2 days later from Tennessee. Everything was in great condition and I'm very happy with my order from them.

I built my home computer from newegg. I have also built 5 computers at work (4 of which used all parts from newegg, all orders between 2400-2500 dollars), and the 5th I ordered 2200+ worth of parts from newegg, and the rest from other dealers. I also have made several small purchases from them (at least 10 purchases under 150 dollars)

All orders were processed and shipped same or next day. One order I made actually arrived at my office the afternoon after I ordered it, as it was next-day aired and they shipped it same day as I ordered.

I have never used Newegg, because I have tried twice to creat an account with them, but each time, although the registration appears to be successful, I can't log in. I have sent them emails about this, but the problem has never been solved. They may well be a good company, but if I can have a problem with something so simple, I wouldn't have any confidence in them with anything more complicated.

It sounds like this might be your problem: link.

I'll make a great sacrifice and trade places with you so you can order from Newegg and get reasonable shipping. I'd hate to give up the coming winter weather for warmth and sunshine but sacrifices sometimes have to be made.

myocardia,

That is what I love about forums, there is no end to people with all of the answers. I won't bother with attempting to clarify, because all that would accomplish to feed trolls.
