Been buying from them for a long time...spent thousands there....never had a problem.

This morning I ordered a new monitor from them to replace the one at home that is dying. Placed the order at 10:30am CST, even paid the $2.99 for "rush" processing. Here is it 2:23pm CST and my order is still showing at stage 1 in the process. Normally my orders would be at 3 or 4 by now.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's only taking so long because I really need the monitor.

That's what I'm hoping....

Although I did get a bit annoyed with them a couple of weeks ago. Ordered a new vid card and it took it 5 days to ship. Not a real big deal since I didn't need it ASAP, but still....they are normally much faster than that.

Agreed. Almost every time I've ordered from them, the website would be way behind the actual status. In fact, it would mostly be showing as at step 3 or 4, when it had shipped hours earlier. 🙂
 
Newegg is getting slower and slower, there is no doubt about it.
I remember the days when I could order in the morning, and the items will be shipped in the afternoon.
Now it takes 1 and half business days to do just that.
 
Newegg might be slowing down a bit; I used to get things in 2, sometimes 3 days, but now it's 3 like clockwork. Still though, who else fedexes things 2-3 day for free or for a couple of bucks? Most online retailers charge $10-$15 for shipping large heavy things like ... ram :roll:, then send it 1-2 week UPS ground and pocket the rest.

usually the trend as companies get bigger and bigger.

i just wish newegg hadnt opened up a warehouse in the NJ....me no likes sales tax
 
I had to call Newegg up a day ago 2 times to ask why is my laptop order still stuck on address verification even though both shipping & billing address are the same on the credit card. I found out I need to call them with my phone # listed on the billing, but Newegg never sent me an email about this.

So yeah, Newegg is getting worse about the way they handle shipping...

Yep....that's why I paid the $2.99 for "rush" processing. So far that $2.99 would have been better spent buying dryer lint.

That is what I've noticed as well. However my single item ordered yesterday is still on step 2 when I can just about guarantee it will be shipped tonight and I'll have it tomorrow.
