"The XFX R9 390 DD 8GB's Double Dissipation cooling system did an incredible job at remaining quiet while dissipating high amounts of heat. The fans were virtually silent during normal operation, allowing us to enjoy the gaming experience in silence. When we overclocked the video card, we did maximize fans to 100% which was remarkably quiet compared to other video cards at 100%. With game noise on the fans are drowned out and non-problematic. The combination of the Double Dissipation cooling system and Ghost Thermal 3.0 technology really benefits in the noise reduction and heat removal department on this video card." ~ Source

Heh, we can make a tag team out of this... ;)
Here is how to get it cheaper with NO rebates.

And, again, if you have the AMEX promo code, knock another $20 off for a grand total of $244.27.

It is like they are trying to clear these out or something...

*edit, also, if you want to shave a few more $$$, you can waive the "free return" option.

I don't think they are clearing them out. It's just that AMD has to sell faster cards at lower prices than NV. It's the new normal in today's marketplace. Win for open-minded/objective PC gamers, not so great for people who never buy AMD since NV has little to no incentive to lower launch prices. Same reason why Honda and Toyota can easily outsell Mazda despite having inferior products.

Yes, the max length this case supports is 285mm. The Gigabyte 7970 shown in that review is 284mm. The XFX 390 listed in OP is 294mm :(.

Ya, your other limitation is once you go to the outer layer of your case, I believe the card can only be 46mm thick.

15% discount off Jet on the 6600K?

Hope the card works out for you!

After you send in the rebate, make sure to register the card within 30 days of purchase. You can probably wait 15-20 days to use the card before sending in the rebate. That's what I do in case some new PC parts fail within the return window to Newegg.

My CPU 6600k came in from Jet. I kind of got worried because I also had a newegg package coming at the same time and I only had newegg packages outside my door when both were delivered. The jet.com package was shipped by newegg ;)
