SO I bought a Case from newegg and received it next day! of course I live 10 miles from newegg 🙂

Question does a mobo have to be plugged in so I can test the PS?

Shorting the green wire to a black ground wire with a paperclip is supposed to work.

This will damage some power supplies, as they need current draw on some rails to operate properly.

You could stick a hard drive on one of the connectors or something. Although with a brand new supply I'd just wait and hook it up right.

Trying licking one of the connectors after you plug it in.

Ok.

I just hooked up the 2 windows side fans. but nothing so I guess I will just hope its ok. I'm buying the this in pieces. So I hope the PS is ok or I won't be able to RMA it.

Too bad Newegg don't allow Will Call! I could have saved $15

that's almost the same case that I have! fyi, the usb door on the bottom is pretty fragile...be careful with it. And the feet tend to get broken (mine are)

Yeah the little door is delicate. Overall its a good little case. I will be adding a 60mm fan in the back for Exhaust. The 2 window fans I will leave as intake. I may later add another exhaust fan on top. It will give me a reason to brake out my Dremel.

Now What should I put in here a P4 or a AMD? Its going to be a non-internet, non-networked computer totally shut off from the outside world!
