Newegg "Wins" Again!

Keep up the good work Newegg! 🙂 It?s really nice having a company that gives great Customer Service which is so hard to find now days! Not to mention your great prices, fast shipping and customer reviews. Thanks!

NEWEGG.COM RANKED ?AMONG BEST OF THE BEST?
Ensuring customer satisfaction has always been our number one priority. That is why we were humbled and honored when we learned that NewEgg.com was recently awarded two accolades of excellence based upon ratings from customers just like you.

Thousands of Computer Shopper readers participate each year in the annual Shoppers? Choice Awards. These awards serve as a referendum of the best products, services and places to purchase technology for the year. Computer Shopper readers declared NewEgg.com the Best Place to Buy Components in 2003, citing ?rock-bottom prices,? ?fast, reliable delivery? and ?hassle-free returns? as examples of why there is simply no reason to buy components online anywhere else.

However, there is indeed stiff competition. There are countless online retailers a shopper may choose from, but who among them are really the ?best of the best??

BizRate acknowledges this collective inquiry each year with their Circle of Excellence Awards, whose winners are determined by millions of customers. BizRate?s annual awards are presented to 20 stores who have demonstrated superiority in all six of the following areas during the holiday season: Ease of Ordering, On-Time Delivery, Overall Satisfaction, Product Selection & Availability, Customer Support, Loyalty & Repurchase Intent.

NewEgg.com was awarded the Circle of Excellence in 2001 and again in 2003, and are proud to carry these distinctions because they are determined by the people who matter most: our customers!

Sorry to hear that FreshPrince! Reguardless I havent had anyone come close or even touch there service! What other site can you buy a product and not have a hassle of returning it without a big hassle or fighting with a tech support on returning an item. 😉

Anyone buying a referb is taking a chance. Myself dont bother with them.

I have to go w/ ZipZoomFly (formerly googlegear) for most of my purchases because of the free 2nd day and very similar prices otherwise. No complaints with NewEgg they definitely do us geeks well.

If you've ever worked in any type of customer service you know that you cannot and willnot please every customer. Newegg does their best and I give them mad props for it.

They even waive the 15% restocking fee when you have to return something. Just call them instead of filling it out online and they'll waive the fee. No one else does that

Ok, tell me if this order went wrong with you...

1.Ordered $3000 worth of equipment
2.opened up package, saw that retail CPU has been opened .. :| wtf!
3.called, lady was nice, said send back, once they receive, they will send another (ok, send back? with my own $, and once you guys receive it, then you send another?)
4.fine, I sent it back with my own money.......................................................................7 "business" days later, finally got email saying they shipped it out...ground! :| ok, if you screw up, should you PAY for my "gnikcuf" shipping, and ship the damn thing out priority overnight? :|
5.called to bliatch, she gave me attitude, hung up the phone without getting any restitution.
6.3 days later, cpu finally arrived, working great no probs.

total time spent on the phone: 3 hours
total time wasted waiting for replacement: 10 "business" days or 14 normal days
total money wasted shipping the cpu back: $35
overall newegg.com experience: priceless, they will never get another order from me, they SUCK! :|

I realize this isn't everyone's experience when they shop newegg...but are you guys stock owners or something...get your noses out of their arses :| KCUF newegg, this zipzoomfly sounds pretty good with their free 2nd day shipping...I think I'll check them out 🙂

I build PCs all the time and have spent ALOT of money with Newegg. Before newegg It was always a job fighting with venders having to return stuff and then buying from differant venders for the best prices. At Newegg you get all the above with no hassles. Also no long waits if you feel the need to call them.

I couldnt tell you how many comanys I had to fight with to get hardware replaced. With newegg for example two months you have a motherboard go bad you fill out a RMA online and ship it back. It doesnt get any simplier then that!! Then they send you a new one!

Not everyones perfect so mistakes will happen. But newegg seems to make it right if by some slim chance it happens. 🙂

I've already told everyone in my family for my birthday I want nothing but Gift Certificates from Newegg next month! 😀

What did you do ship it back next day air! Did you even try it? Was anything broke on it?

In order to get good Customer Service you have to talk like an adult and not a 12 year old and ask for a manager if your still unhappy with the sale rep.

Nope and I just like to reconize a company that gives good "Customer Service" because its so hard to find now days! Plain and simple.

Atleast everyting worked out in the end! 🙂

Ok you send it back with your money. That is what you would have to do with EVERY company. No company is going to pay for return shipping for something like this.

You decided to ship it how you did. If you wanted faster shipping YOU should have tried to make PRIOR arrangements. Calling up with an attitude AFTER the fact will get you no where in life.

They shipped it out how they normally ship things UNLESS otherwise specified/requested.

I think Newegg did nothing wrong but that is just me.

Was there actually something wrong with the chip or did you just send it back because you didn't like the fact that the box was open?

It's a Retail CPU. Shouldn't be open. I would be p!ssed off if that happened to me.

I should note, however, that I haven't had a single bad issue with newegg. They recently even helped me contact EVGA to resolve an issue getting the free CoD game with the 5900SE.

I'm sure you're the kinda guy to buy underwear that's been worn? or an apple that's been cut? How about a snickers bar with the packaging already open? no? didn't think so, then why should I have to put up with buying a "RETAIL" (read before you spew your crap) cpu and see it already opened and out of the plastic casing? Did I pay 70% for a refurb cpu? no, I paid full price for a retail packaged cpu. Everything should be shrink wrapped.

Why did I ship it back priority overnight? Because a company with "REAL" customer service would've already apologized for their mistake, sent the CPU overnight to me, and called me the next day to find out if I'm satisfied with their service. If so, then they would go online to either fedex or ups and arranged for them to pickup the defective CPU @ my location. They can ship it back priority overnight or ground it doesn't matter to me because I would've been using my new CPU. This is how Dell and other reputable companies do it. If you're runing your business outta your garage, then you would handle it like newegg...if you have money to back your customer service policy..you would do it like Dell. And yes, I expected newegg to pay for that shipping...becasue it was NEVER my fault that the retail package came opened, out of the plastic casing. I wouldn't even think about trying it, due to the principle of the situation. then again....if I was used to getting my @ss rammed...then I guess I would sit back like a little bliatch and let them do whatever they wanted.

Finally, I did report newegg to the BBB and filed a formal complaint. I'm sure they are being investigated as we speak....I am certain that they will change their policies in the future. Maybe then, I can trust them again.

LOL! 😀

When you find a company that does all this please let me know too. I sure as hell no DELL doesnt.

oh...and dont forget a "REAL" customer service would of sent a tech out to install the new CPU for ya too. 😉

I don't which Dell you've been working with, but they do that for us...but then again, we did purchase over $1 million dollars worth of equipment from them. Maybe we get special treatment 😛 Don't hate, just accept.

Nothing but great service from Newegg for me, and I've had my company by many thousands of dollars worth of equipment from them over the last couple years. Even RMA's several sticks of RAM and a mobo with no fuss.

i fully agree. I bought every component of my machine from newegg and they beat the heck out of any other online retailer.

over $1 million dollars worth of equipment
Thats the key word here be serious were just end users here. Also if your company spends that much money with DELL why didnt you get a DELL PC? I would think someone that spends 1 million dollars with them all the employees would get a nice discount?

I work for a company that has over 17,000 users and use nothing but Dell computers and servers. But I dont hold it agianst my company. They send us FREE equipment all the time. Plus all employees get discounts with dell here. But still I buy from Newegg 🙂

Anyways no biggie. Sorry If I ruffled any feathers.

HeroOfPellinor, Yea I would hate that two. It has to suck paying taxs 🙁
It would be kinda cool if the building was close buy to visit and drool. hehehe
