The only thing I might conclude is that they are getting rid of older stock in light of new models coming out.

I have seen them "deactivate" quite a few video cards lately too. I just bought a low end MSI GT 430 that was on sale for $20AR, then when it sold out, it went to deactivated status.

Keep in mind though, it does not necessarily mean they are not getting more in stock. I think it just means they have not yet ordered any or they "cant" yet order any.
