NewEgg strangeness/sales?

I was just checking the shopping cart for my upcoming (in only a month :roll;) computer, and noticed that several items were marked "One Day Sale, ends 3/22/2005:"
Corsair Value Select 2x512, $97 (two dollars off a long-running Crackin' deal)
DFI nf4 Ultra-D $137.99 (I'm pretty sure an increase of 99 cents)
Athlon 64 3200+ retail $190 (original price)
Leadtek Geforce 6600+ $185 (original price)

So, umm, I guess these may be some hot deals. But they look like price increases to me. Why're they marked that way?

This seemed like the right forum for this. Apologies if not. :)

I like this thread here. I buy a lot of stuff from Newegg but I cant stand their sales trick of raising shipping to offset what they say are sales. I think it is pretty insulting and maybe a little unethical.

I noticed this trend at newegg as well.
It seems to be a pretty slick trick.

This was $191 last week, so I guess technically it is a sale. Shipping prices will probably hit the roof soon with gas prices going up so fast and often.
