Newegg shipping

If I see a price for shipping on Newegg, say for a cpu, and it's like $7 or whatever. If I also order another cpu or mobo, will they add twice the shipping or just adjust it a bit more for the extra items. For instance, if I order 2 cpu's and a mobo, I won't get a shipping charge of $30+ will I? Or will it be around $7 + whatever extra, like less than $20 bucks total?

No they adjust the shipping for multiple items... just check shipping before you click out... It really depends what warehouse parts are coming from... if all the parts are in the same warehouse, then they get put together as 1 price for the bundle... if they are in different warehouses, it will be more expensive.... I know when I bought a P4-2G, shipping was like $8 more for the 2G than the 2.2G... they are the same size and wieght... the the 2G was more expensive shipping.

Shipping price is adjusted, so it'd be lower when you order bunch of stuff compared to ordering single items at a time

not true, they add the shipping together .

If you have alot of items then yes they will do it that way

Its all where they have to get it from like spook said. If you order a lot of stuff and it happens that they have it in the same place then the price will be lower, but if it is from different places then they will just keep adding the prices for each item. At least this has been my experience with newegg.

From the newegg shipping FAQ:

When you order multiple items, most of the time the shipping is reduced in your shopping cart, according to weight and size, safety and insurance required. Just place all items in the shopping cart, pick your state and method of shipping and hit the shipping calculator. You will see the reduction if it applies. On certain items, due to significant shipping discounts offered by Newegg on the item, the shipping will add cumulatively, unless multiple items are purchased. Shipping charge is always per the website.

So sometimes they DONT reduce the shipping. But I suspect that in most cases they do.

That's true, by looking at their site I've seen some where special shipping is listed for the item. I've also seen some weird stuff that says that you can't order "this" unless you order some other hardware as well, no software. I thought this was strange (I believe I was looking up a price on a MS Natural Pro keyboard).

I was wondering more about the shipping cause when I buy my stuff I'm not going to be using a credit card so I will be calling them up, placing an order and then sending out the M/O. I don't think you can get accurate pricewatch pricing with shipping when going to their website anyway can you?

I just ordered five SmartMedia cards which list shipping as $4.00 but the total shipping charge was $14.01 for the five items sent FedEx and they are already on their way.
