That is a good deal, but I'm assuming you live in Cali or wherever they ship from. I always choose FedEx when I get Newegg, even though it's the most expensive option now. They have never let me down, and I don't trust the other carriers.

You live in Memphis no? FedEx regional hub is in Memphis, meaning the plane flew off the conveyor belt in Cali, landed in Memphis, was sorted and put on a truck and out for delivery. Not a big deal.

Wait, so the plane flew off the conveyor belt? That's kind of like a treadmill right? Mystery solved!

Yep, it definately would have taken longer if the plane were to stay on the conveyor belt.

I often receive UPS ground packages from the Egg overnight too ... it all depends on your location & which warehouse they ship out of.

Yeah I used them after a long hiatus for my recent new build in sept, all my free shipping stuff got to me in 2 days.

yup. I would really be impressed if you ordered in the morning and Fedex came knocking in the afternoon. Not gonna happen the way shipping companies work.

Anyway, Newegg processing/ship-out rules.

Newegg is not in the shipping business. You should be complimenting FedEx on their speedy shipping.

If you ordered five or six things you probably paid $30 for shipping, it better get their quickly. That's my only gripe with newegg, no combining of shipping costs. A $3 fan could end up with a $5.99 shipping charge, etc.

Actually they've been combining shipping costs for a while now (I think over a year?).

And yeah, OP, it was not same day. Kudos for living near the FedEx central routing station though.

I ordered something from Newegg about two weeks ago, and it sat there not even getting processed for like 4 days so I cancelled it. Checked again on saturday and it had free shipping (so was about $8 cheaper). Went ahead and bought it and it should be here today. Kinda strange, but it worked out well in the end.
