Newegg shipping from NJ?

I bought a CPU/Mobo/Ram from Newegg, and they shipped it from New Jersey. I'm here in Arizona, so why would they ship it from NJ? They usually ship it from their California Warehouse. It will take a whole extra DAY to get here, so i'm not too worried 😛, just curious why they would do that? They've always shipped to me from Cali in the past,

They probably have different inventory at different warehouses, and perhaps what you ordered is only located in NJ.

yea stuff could come from any warehouse at any given time depending on inventory conditions. I just ordered parts for a new system for my kid and the cpu cooler is coming from CA, the case is coming from TN, and the rest is coming from NJ. Believe it or not all of it has arrived here at my local Fedex depot on the same day a day early. Fedex has a pretty good system.

Does this mean if you live in TN or NJ, you have to pay state tax for your item(s)? I remember my case came from TN too.

Yes, newegg charges tax if you live in a state where they have a warehouse.

Yes, I remember seeing that there were actually numbers on the taxes. Makes me mad it does. Especially since the item is shipped to out of state, then brought back into state to finally deliver it to me the day after it gets back in state.

not mine... ordered monday night... and here wednesday noon. package came from NJ to California... and they said estimated delivery was Friday. 😀

it it had come from california it wouldve been here yesterday... 😱

Yeah, they'll deliver them early, but they have to be together. One of mine got to the ramp like the day after i ordered, but the other one was coming from NJ so it took 2 days. THe first one just sat there till the second got there. Not that the first (box, mobo, HD) would have been any good without the second (processor, peripherals), but STILL!
