UPDATE 2:
Newegg failed to refund me the price of shipping to my home. Essentially making me eat the cost of them shipping me someone else s RMA. I did some looking around on thier website on other products I had interest in and found that others seem to be experiencing similar kinds of experiences. One that stands out was someone who received memory wrapped in a rubber band.

That's unfortunate, and imho not acceptable. Call them and ask to be refunded the entire original purchase price, including shipping. If they sell you a used, incomplete, defective motherboard, they should cover return shipping and refund the entire purchase. If they don't refund your shipping cost, move on. Choose whether to vote with your wallet - Newegg's very good but they're not the only game in town. Amazon and Ewiz are excellent component resellers as well.

Totally agree it will be difficult Im a frequent buyer and sometimes an impulse purchaser so who knows I might save money in the end. During this fiasco I started to notice a few others on NewEgg running into similar issues of products that appeared opened prior to arriving. Im probably 2-3K a year on newegg items not major loss to them but if more people run into it then they will get thier act together.

Superbiiz/E-Wiz have been winning me over its where I ordered the motherboard from to replace the defective/rma one I got from NewEgg. I have no experience with Superbiiz/E-Wiz RMA but I assume that should be good because I haven't had to return anything yet.

Amazon I know has been trying to compete with NewEgg but they haven't won me over yet I sometimes see 4-5 of the same parts from different sellers but one thing I can vouch for is anything sold from Paul's TV through Amazon has excellent RMA. My buddy ordered a 55" HDTV that arrived cracked from shipping and Paul's TV within 24 hours scheduled a replacement and pickup of his damaged product. No jumping through hoops which is a nice sign. A quick search shows Paul's TV seems to do right by their customers. I had never heard of them prior.

You may want to take a look at superbiz/e-wiz rma policies.
BBB rates newegg as an A+ business on how it deals with customer service.
Ewiz, C-.
