AWESOME!!! Just ordered mine :D :D :D

I was going to order that 2100+ b/c of Keyeye's post over in CPU/OCing. Can't add it to cart though at $92. The product number of DUT3C which are in the part # and in the picture indicate it is a T-bred B. Green PCB.

The 1700+ is also DUT3C with newer stepping numbers indicating it is brand spanking new (look at the week, its like the last week of December). Also, CHJF confirmed it is on a Green PCB, which the B's have been coming on.

Here's a link to The tried and tested Overclockers article on How to Tell them apart..

Again, the 2000+ and 2100+ DUT3C's have a chance to be either A or B, but the markings on the 2100+ at Newegg show it is clearly a T-bred B. The 1700+ and 1800+ T-breds with DUT3C can ONLY be a T-bred B, as DLT3C are T-bred As.....

I should have mine on Monday, for the same price as the 2100+ I could've ordered two!!! :D

I have a K7S5A running an old Tbird 1GHz (I've had it for like 1.5 years now) and I'm thinking about upgrading the CPU. I haven't paid any attention to CPU news for like a year--I know Athlon XP came out (Thoroughbred?) and now I think Bartons are coming to market (damn, haven't looked at a roadmap in awhile!) What should I get? Should I even be worried about overclocking on the K7S5A (horrible mobo for OC'ers--even with CheepoBios.)

The extra cache on the Bartons is suppose to make a big difference.

But like everyone says "Why wait for the next new thing? There is always something new coming down the pipe."

I have a K7s5a in my main system. Think I am going to put that in my spare system and get a tbred B with an nforce2. Have a 1600+ right now in it.

man, just finished reading through some posts over at overclockers.com...these don't seem to be doing much better than the A's, even though CHJF's stepping is much newer. I'm gonna get a 2100+ if it becomes available instead (and cancel my 1700+), as its stepping is much close to the 2400+ chips. I don't need two decent OCing 1700+'s:( I need one monster OCing one :D

What all the hype with the Bs? I have a Tbred 1800 A that does 2005 Mhz stable, dont think a Bwill do much better on Air cooling.

Nah, definitely a great heads-up CHJF!!! :D

Mustanggt T-bred B's have been highly anticipated at lower PR ratings in the hopes OC's similar to other T-bred B's, ie 2400+ PR and better. Yeah its nice that a T-bred A will get to 2ghz, but the T-bred B's currently available are hitting 2.2-2.4ghz no sweat on AIR. Extreme cooling has gotten them close to 3ghz.

Btw, I went ahead and ordered the 2100+, I already have a T-bred A, and if early reports are true, even a 100-200mhz increase over my current OC of 1.825ghz won't justify buying another XP....I want 2.2ghz at least!!! :D
