Newegg Rocks

I was starting to doubt newegg with their high shipping and everything, but they have come through for me. I ordered a sata card that didn't work with my computer. Windows wouldn't boot when a drive was connected. Instead of RMA'ing it I started a chat. They refunded me $25 which covers the full cost of the product and all but $1 of shipping and they also let me keep the product. Thanks Newegg!

I had a poor experience with Newegg a few months ago. Eventually, after a bad Resellerrating was posted by me, their CS contacted me, offered to pick up the product at my house, and give me a $100 credit towards a future purchase.

Then, a few days ago, a CSR called/emailed me because my Resellerrating still wasn't "Very Satisfied". So he offered me another $15 credit in hopes that that will get me to raise my rating. I'm thinking of taking the credit and keeping my rating the same.

I had a bad experience with Monarch (ordered product, found out not in stock days later, took them couple more days to ship the rest of my order, and over a month delay in getting refund), posted my review on ResellerRatings, and someone called my cell several times wanting to see what they could do about my situation. I didn't pick up or return his call because they fvcked up so many times in a row I'm not wasting my time with them just so they can improve their public image. When it takes a month to get a refund and their system is so archaic it doesn't update inventory online automatically, AND their employees have no communication between eachother so no one knows what's happening anyway, I don't deem them worth my damn time. Even if they offered me my $350 CPU for free, I would still keep my reseller rating review on there because I think people should know that Monarch's left hand doesn't know what the right is doing, their refunds take bloody forever, and their online inventory isn't accurate. *shrug*

Way to be petty and take advantage. What else do you want, a bj?

I didn't say I kept the credit and changed my rating, I was just considering it, sheesh!

Besides, why should Newegg bribing me help their rating?

How can one not be satisfied if you're refunded $115 towards a future purchase? Unless the item you purchased was above that amount, I certainly would be. I mean, free pickup at your house? That saves you the hassle of repacking, driving to the mailer of choice, waiting in line, etc...

You might see it as "bribing", but this is how the customer service industry operates. The more customer oriented the company, the more "bribing" they will do to ensure sastisfaction. Of course, they will only go so far.
