Newegg RMA

I just shipped out my case front panel to newegg for an RMA. Couple of questions:
1. How long does it take for the completed process?
2. Will I be reimbursed for any shipping charges?

Thanks for all your help!
Kishan

It'll take (speed of shipping you shipped+1-3 days RMA Process+3-4 days Newegg shipping).

They cover cost of shipping to you but you have to pay for your shipping to newegg.

Beware if you changed your address they have a bug in their rma system where even if you choose to ship to current location they will ship it to the old address.

1. 1 to 2 weeks based on my experience
2. They will pay for the shipping back to you only.

1. Varies. Usually pretty quickly. Biggest factor is the ship time, IMX.
2. Nope. Generally, you pay shipping charges on RMA'd equipment.

Wow-once again I get response from you guys in less than 2 minutes-F Tech Support!!! Special thanks to AyashiKaibutsu and whattaguy!
Thanking You,
Kishan

but the problem is, they are sending you a refurbish not new one. if you are unlucky, it may cost you more in shipping and time wasted in turn around if you have to RMA more then once; so it's probably done to frustrate people to think twice about returning stuff that are simi working but not completely dead..

If you call in and talk to a service rep, you can be given a $ 10 credit for your
shipping to be applied to a future purchase, but you do have to explain the
return. and ask for the compensation

In 4 instances I have had to return motherboards to NewEgg.
Each was replaced with a NEW, not a refurb unit.

They only replace with a Refurb if the initial buy was a refurb.

That is the one thing that really angers me about AT-people like me and others are on this board giving advice to n00bs, and even people with 20k+posts (one thing I do like is that people with 20k posts have the humility to ask and not make fun of n00bs) and they do not say thanks at least.

Wrong.

Or at least in my case. I rma'd a board that was still under the "30 day satisfaction guarantee" and I got a brand new board as replacement.
