I RMA'd a western digital SATA hard drive. It was approved by newegg, got my number. Sent it in, they got it the other day and sent an email confirming the item, that it has passed the RMA and will be shipped. Got an email yesterday saying it will be shipped back, with tracking number. But with the little invoice, under the hard drive, it says: This item is serviced by western digital, call 800-blah-bla.

It says the replacement is valid and approved, but does the little thing underneath mean they are sending me the same one back and i have to deal with it via WD?

Also, i was emailed 2 invoices, one with UPS shipping and another with FedEx shipping. They both show up in "my account" under invoices, but only one under "order status", does this mean they changed invoices, or are they shipping 2?

Thanks for answering my RMA noob Qs.

I've returned HD's to Newegg before but only for defects within thirty days ... having said that I'd guess you'll be getting a new replacement drive if they approved the RMA.

Edit: E-mail customer service & ask ... you should hear back pretty quickly.
