I just purchased a few things from Newegg but have come to find out that I don't need them. Is it possible to just reject the package from UPS and have it shipped back to Newegg or would I have to cough up shipping costs by sending through USPS or a carrier?

Call or email about returning them and they will most likely have you ship it back.

Isn't that being dishonest?

Thats the problem with people these days..... its all about them. Eat shipping costs? What are you talking about? $10 max?

I hope you try to screw the system and Newegg charges you 15%.

Wow, if I don't pick up the item from UPS, it's going to have to be shipped back to Newegg anyways. Also, am I murdering someone? You're crying over something utterly useless. I was just asking if it is ok for UPS to send the items back by rejecting the package. What the hell does Newegg have to do with this anyways? I'm not sending them anything that's open. Getting these items back to Newegg would be solely between UPS (or whatever carrier) and me.

I don't see why you can't just return to sender then call and say you made an error, and would like to order something else at a later date?

I thought that was pretty standard procedure? I remember with Columbia House, if you didn't want the CD they sent you, they said to just write Return to Sender on it and drop it in the mail.

From Newegg's FAQ page http://www.newegg.com/Info/FAQDetail.aspx?Module=4
FedEx has returned my order/package to Newegg.com. What happens now?

Once we receive the package, we'll credit your credit card back in full, including any shipping costs you may have paid. If you paid via check or money order, we'll send you a check for the full amount. A Return Merchandise Authorization number will then be automatically generated by our system, and an email notification will be sent to notify you of the returned merchandise.

I guess that doesn't really imply that you're free to do it whenever you want, but they don't sound too broken up about it.

If it's actually abusive in some way, I'd like to know, but I thought it was a normal thing to do.

Newegg's RMA sheet has an option for returning an item because you no longer want it. Just check it off and eat the shipping cost.
