Newegg return policy?

So I screwed up ordering RAM and got PC-2700 (didn't know at the time i can go over what the mobo recommends) instead of PC-3200. So it's time for returns 😉

From my gathering, I go to Newegg and fill out an online RMA request form, and then they either accept or deny my request, right? But who pays for shipping?

Will this return work, considering I will just want the credit and then order another RAM chip later?

E-mail them ahead to get them to waive the restocking fee since you are going for an exchange.

And you pay for return shipping. When you go to a store and buy the wrong thing, does the store pay for your transportation/gas? Nope.

but their website says no exchanges? i'm confused

and touche on the postage. maybe i can say it won't work on my mobo and justify them paying postage? 🙂

Listen! That's why you should e-mail them and explain your situation before requesting a RMA. They'll waive the restocking fee.

And lie to save a few bucks? Wow. Go burn in...
