NEWegg Refurbs

Hey everyone. I usually frequent the For sale forums but i dont post over here much. But anyways I was looking at buying a refurbished shuttle from Newegg. How legit are they when it comes to refurbished products? Anyone have to return the stuff??

I think a few people around here have had problems, but I don't remember if those were user error or what. By and large it seems like Newegg refurbs are as safe a bet as you can expect a refurb to be.

I'm up 3 mobos and a CPU. Had two bad video cards. They refunded my shipping cost on one of the cards as a "good faith" gesture. In short, you may end up paying to test someone else's hardware (one of the cards I got could have been tested in 10 seconds as it had color banding as soon as you booted).

refurbs are never safe, but newegg is one of those companies that you can trust more than others...

hmm ... I've had one bad refurb mobo,
I have a refurb vidcard from them in one box here, a refurb motherboard in another box, and various other refurb parts from them. The dead mobo, they couldn't replace, so they refunded me, I lost out on the cost of return shipping, but overall, refurbs have saved me quite a bit of cash.
