search is your friend. 4-5 recent Newegg refurb threads if you type in "refurb"

But once again: you might not get the metal I/O shield, cables, manual, or driver CD. And it might be a bad OCer.

I'm 2 for 4 as far as newegg refurbs go. 2 bad video cards, a good cpu and a good motherboard. It's a crapshoot pretty much. You may or may not get all the accessories with the motherboard. Mine came with everything (not really many accessories with it anyways, though), but was missing the rear I/O sheild. It also came with something that doesn't even go with it

I never understood what constitutes a refurbished CPU.

I've bought 2 refurbished m/b's from them. The first one didn't work, I just sent it back...not that much of a risk if you ask me.

I stay away from refurbished items. I've been burned too many times in the past with them. There's a reason why they're refurbished!

I've lost track of how much refurb newegg stuff I've bought. Only thing I can specificially remember was a chaintech gf4 ti4200 that kicked the bucket. Got a refurb Asus TI4600 instead. It's been perfect.
Also I've never had any problems with refurb Asus products from them. They always come barebones though, no cables, backplate, cd, box, or manual, just the motherboard.

I've bought plenty of refurbs from NewEgg, I'd say I am 50/50. If you are talking about the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, I purchased the refurb on thursday. I am waiting for it to arrive, but since they have over 100 of them in stock I am assuming they're from ASUS themselves and most likely is just the motherboard in a plain white box like commented in a thread in Hot Deals if you do a search for it.
